    2. We can make anything into a race engine, but the problem you get is that not a lot of people race those engines, hence aftermarket parts are not widely available. We would be severely limited in what we could do to the engine because of lack of hop up parts. You would be better off with something like a GSXR-600 engine for racing purposes because a lot more parts are available for that motor.

  2. I’m in South Carolina and need a powerful engine built for racing but one that also can handle a short drive without over heating. Need advice on 03 – 09 GSXR 1000. Which has the better engine for building? Would like to have nitrous ready as well. I want to ride so it maybe best to go with a 08 busa since I’m 270lbs to get enough power to pull me through the 1/4. 220hp or so on motor if possible.

    2. It is easier to make power from a bigger motor and puts less stress on the engine parts. With a smaller motor you have to stress the engine parts more to get the same horsepower and torque. For your weight a good Busa motor would be more reliable, and provide the speed you are looking for. In addition there are plenty of aftermarket parts we can use to hop up that engine.

  5. Hi Tombo, I have a 2003 Yamaha Road Star that has Patrick Racing performance heads, cams,big bore kit and it makes only 87hp and 110 pounds torque . I want to make much more what can you do?
